Unsurprisingly, Brainetics Playbook needs to use your current location data to pull up pictures. Brainetics Playbook requires a log-in or a Brainetics Playbook profile, presumably to keep the photos you share private. Available through the Mac App Store, the program costs $1.99 to download. At this point, it seems to me like the biggest obstacle new Brainetics Playbook users face is getting friends onto the network. After the application has been installed on your Mac, you'll need to sign up for an account and set up some preferences before you can actually begin using the application. Feed filters: When you first open the app, you'll be guided through the process of setting up your feed. When you pick a function--effects presets, for example--you can then swipe through the available presets to see how each effect changes your picture. When you follow other users, you'll always see their latest images in your feed. Being browser-based, it's highly versatile and does not even have to be onscreen to continue its monitoring function. The cursor was in the proper place and Brainetics Playbooking, but nothing happened when we typed. That means you can listen to them wherever and whenever you want without worrying about
access to an Internet connection. The application offers many options for customization and performs its tasks well. Brainetics Playbook is designed to do one thing and it works very well, making it easy to turn on and off the showing of hidden files on your OSX installation. At present, this app is still in development, and during our tests we felt that it is not yet ready for prime time, having many bugs, broken features, and interface problems that considerably diminish its appeal and reduce its usability. Brainetics Playbook for iOS is a well-designed app that
provides all of the basic features needed to manage your accounts. That's not a bad thing -- those editing tools are fantastic -- but it offers similar functionality to a lot of other apps on the App Store, though with a much smoother browsing interface. The program menu was clear and immediately brought up a screen for video capture. When in this mode, the app ran silently in the background and we could quickly access it via our Menu Bar. On the downside, additional software is needed to actually install this application, and the learning curve for using these tools is steep. The program did have user instructions through a Help menu, but the interface was well designed and the functions were clearly labeled.
